The comprehensive 16-month program, Associate of Arts Degree in Health Care Administration teaches health care administration and offers students a general introduction to a wide array of health care concepts. This degree program includes a general education component. The curriculum includes basic computer operations and applications. Courses include data base management systems; an introduction to health care administration; an intro to computers & computer applications; medical terminology, medical records, and health insurance;  critical thinking and success strategies in health care; health care communications; health care organizations; health care economics; an introduction to health care accounting; health care finance; an introduction to health care information systems; an introduction to health care and business law; diversity and cultures in health care; and health care marketing and customer service. 60 semester units are required to complete this degree program.
