Associate of Arts - Multidisciplinary Studies (Grantham University) The Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies program offered by Grantham University provides the student with an array of structured liberal arts or sciences curriculum. The program provides the student with a core of general education studies. The Multidisciplinary Studies course curriculum prepares the students to enter into entry-level positions of today's competitive and dynamic workplace. Through a variety of courses covered, students will be able to develop their skills and knowledge relevant to be a cut above the rest of the applicants. The course also provides students with a practical and concrete explanation of the concepts of business. Concepts, principles, and operations of the private enterprise system are identified in this course. Students compare and contrast sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations, and they learn the advantages and disadvantages of each. This course also discusses the functions of modern business management, marketing, and ethics and social responsibility. Human resource management is described as well as how employers can motivate their employees. In addition to the business subjects, students will also learn basic understanding of personal financial planning. The course is designed to help students understand how to plan for a successful financial future for themselves and their families. The course offers a comprehensive treatment of financial planning to help students understand the complexities of today's financial world and evaluate their financial options through a formal decision-making approach. General Education courses covered in Grantham University's Associate of Arts - Multidisciplinary Studies program: - Computer Concepts and Office Applications - English Composition - American Government - Strategies for Decision Making - College Algebra - Marketing Communications - Interpersonal Communications - Business Communications - Technical Writing - Humanities & Fine Arts Subjects Upon successful completion of the Associate of Arts - Multidisciplinary Studies program, the student will be able to: - Effectively communicate, analyze, and combine knowledge from at least two disciplines - Deliver ideas in written and visual form across various contexts - Apply electronic, print and/or media information sources - Use critical thinking skills to effectively solve problems Admission requirements: In order for students to enroll in this associate degree, they must have official transcripts of their high school or high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate; students from non-English speaking country must have a minimum score of 213 Computer-based TOEFL or 61 in Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 in Paper-based TOEFL Test or 750 in Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) or 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as a proof of English language proficiency. |
