Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Hodges University) The one thing that is permanent in this world is change. The Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies offered by Hodges University has been designed to prepare students to provide solutions to this changing world right after graduation. Interdisciplinary Studies professional are the people responsible in inspecting the potential ways to accomplish exceptional change of systems from old to new methods without having to risk the value of social standards in the advancement of their chosen field. The main objective of the Associate in Science in Interdisciplinary Studies is to equip students for entry-level positions in a wide range of areas as specified each student's personal and professional goals. Their curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in the liberal arts as well as other disciplines. The Interdisciplinary Studies degree program has nine classes which are taught in a wheel format. Students may get into the wheel at any given semester, thanks to the integrative method of teaching. Each student will build the wheel for a year in which each spoke of the wheel represents an individual class, which includes: Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility, A Society of Laws, Leadership Theories and Practice, Issues in Diversity, Contemporary Global Issues, Cognitive Processes, Applied Research Methodologies, Professional Communication Concepts, and Strategic Planning and Evaluation. Students who graduate from Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree program will be ready for adaptation to change, to satisfy social responsibilities, understand the global perspective, abide by standards of excellence, as well as appreciate life-long learning.
