It serves as an excellent preparation for those who are interested in attending to a graduate school or seminary and becoming a church pastor or a lay leader in a local church. The Christian Studies Program requires students to complete courses in: - Introduction to Philosophy - Introduction to Ministry - The Gospels - Introduction to Logic - A Survey of Christian Education - Christian Doctrines - Biblical Interpretation - Cross-Cultural Communication - Introduction to Ethics - The Pentateuch - Spiritual Formation - Christian Leadership Theory and Praxis - Management for Ministry - The Epistles of Paul - Lifespan Development • Pastoral Ministry Concentration: - Introduction to Pastoral Ministry - Christianity and Culture - Financial Decision Making in Ministry - Ministerial Organizational Development and Change - Effective Ministerial Communications - Issues in Counseling - Leadership in the Global Community - Issues in Contemporary Pastoral Ministry Each course is equivalent to 4 credits for a total of 48 credits. There are also General Education courses that have to be completed prior to taking specific concentration courses. Total degree program length is 120 credits.
