All applicants for the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program are required to meet Lamar University's standard requirements for admission and one of the following criteria:

• Have completed a minimum of 45 earned academic credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for all previous work completed in higher education OR
• Be a high school graduate of at least 5 years OR
• Be an active or retired service member with 3 or more years of military service.

In addition, applicants must be Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exempt or TSI complete to qualify for admission to the program.
