The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies at Tiffin University is a flexible degree designed for those individuals who have previously earned an associate degree in a technical/professional discipline. This is career-oriented Professional Studies degree program is developed upon the idea of the “inverted degree” permitting the students to conclude the degree according to the approved technical occupational major that the student possesses.

In order to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies degree, students enrolled in this program are required to finish all 54 hours of the program for Tiffin University graduation requirements.

In this program, students will have the opportunity to explore business-related courses such as human resource management and small business management. The human resource management addresses the human resource functions in business from which major areas of study include staffing, recruitment, training and development, wage and salary administration, job analysis and evaluation, and labor relations. In the small business management course, students will get to discover the study and analysis e problems of operating a small business. Additionally, a discussion of the how’s, what’s and why’s an individual would consider in developing their own business. All areas of managing an entrepreneurial operation will be covered such as marketing, finance and financial controls, government regulations and strategic planning.

Other course students will take in this Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies degree program is the public administration, this course examines the management of government at local, state, and federal levels. Emphasis is on the function and control of government agencies, the nature of bureaucracy, planning, budgeting, and decision making in the public sector.
