ENGL 120 is a survey of English literature from about 1385 to 1745. It helps students develop critical-thinking skills so they might increase their understanding and appreciation of all literature. It also considers the main philosophical, historical, and aesthetic currents at work during the period, and studies the effects of these currents on a number of great literary works.
