Developing competent and effective leaders with a Christian worldview who will model high academic standards and assume a leadership role in the field of education, Liberty University's Doctor of Education program provides advanced training for individuals seeking positions in higher education. You will focus on classes specializing in teaching and learning skills and best practices. Specialized courses develop the skills necessary to assume a facilitating role in accomplishing the goals and objectives of an education system, whether it is as a teacher, superintendent, principal, college instructor or another academic position requiring decision-making and strong leadership abilities.  As a student of this program you may choose a concentration in educational leadership or teaching and learning. As the world's largest evangelical university, Liberty University incorporates core Christian values into all of their degree offerings in order to provide all students a thorough academic and spiritually enriching program of study. This program is approved through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Three on-campus intensives are required, in addition to a final dissertation defense.Potential Career Options: College Administrator, College professor, Curriculum Specialist, Instructional Supervisor, Teacher, and School Administrator.Students are required to submit a MAT or GRE score that are no more than two years old. If the student has taken the MAT or GRE but it is more than two years old, they will be required to take it again.
