Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary's Doctor of Ministry program helps men and women develop a deeper understanding of biblical principles and strategies in order to serve effectively in a variety of pastoral roles. The program provides students with opportunities to refine and reinforce their ministry skills. To increase their vision and deepen understanding of the purpose and goals in ministry, students are given the opportunity to interact with a variety of recognized church leaders. A six-credit-hour thesis is required, as well as on-campus intensives. The degree is well-suited for missionaries, pastors, and other church leaders seeking the opportunity for professional and personal growth. |

Doctor of Ministry (Liberty University Online) Liberty University's Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) will allow you to set your opportunities in action, opportunities such as making an important decision that could greatly enhance your career, impact other's lives, as well as influence the future of Christian ministry. This online degree program is ideal to those individuals seeking a career in spiritual service, such as pastors, missionaries, and even church leaders seeking the opportunity for both professional and personal growth. It offers both practical and theoretical training for work in famiy counseling, church leadership, and community ministry. This doctoral degree gives students the opportunity to develop their ministry skills. Its primary goal is to help individuals build a solid understanding of the biblical principles and techniques in order to effectively serve in a number of pastoral roles. The program curriculum provides students with the opportunity to work with many different known church leaders to help increase their vision and expand their understanding of the purpose and goals in ministry. The Doctor of Ministry offered by Liberty Universitry is a 30 credit hour program, which comprises of a 6 credit hour thesis. Tuition is $425 per credit hour, there is a $150 technology fee per semester, a $20 per hour technology fee, and a $50 application fee. Students enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program can select from the following specializations: - Evangelism & Church Growth - Expository & Evangelistic Preaching - Pastoral Counseling - Pastoral Leadership & Management - Worship Required courses for a Doctor of Ministry program are: - EVAN 851: 21st Century Techniques and Tools for the Church - COUN 852: Growth and Development of the Contemporary Minister - DSMN 876: Creative Ministry Uses for the Computer - DMIN 989: Thesis Project Proposal and Research - DMIN 989: Thesis Project Proposal and Research - DMIN 990: Thesis Project Defense - Elective Courses Graduates of the D.Min program through LU Online are prepared to pursue leadership positions in the areas of ministry and education. Possible careers graduates could pursue include: - Senior Church Administrator - Senior Pastor - University Professor - Church Consultant - Minister - Religious Education Director Admission Requirements: Students should have earned a Master of Divinity degree, or its equivalent, from an appropriately accredited theological seminary with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.00 scale). Students who earned a prior degree from an unaccredited institution may be considered for admission on academic probation. Students who don't meet this criterion may be considered for admission on academic probation. Students admitted on academic probation must take and pass GRST 500 introduction to graduate writing their first semester. Ordinarily, satisfactory completion of at least nine semester hours of coursework or its equivalent in Hebrew and at least nine semester hours coursework or its equivalent in Greek are required. Students may be admitted without the language requirements depending on their areas of concentration. Students must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 600 paper-based test; 250 computer-based test; 100 internet-based test. |
