The Chicago School Professional Psychology's Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology program is the only one of its kind in the Midwest. The rapidly growing field of Forensic Psychology is designed specifically for professionals who work in fields such as: victim assistance,l aw enforcement, corrections, court, protective services, and probation, jails and prisons, and specialized agencies such as child advocacy centers. It focuses on the application of psychology and mental health knowledge to the law and our legal system. Graduates will develop mastery to: perform risk assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for various problems and populations; apply psychology and mental health knowledge to legal and public policy arenas in an ethical, research-based manner, and academically informed; and apply the necessary interpersonal, behavioral, academic, and technical skills for application in a variety legal and law enforcement environments. Working approximately 10 hours per week, this degree can be earned is as little as 20 months. |
