With reference to each of the respective areas of humanities, graduates in this degree program will be able to: Research, Thinking, and Writing - Critically examine literary works for their contribution to the body of human knowledge. - Articulate written positions on ideas that originate from the great works of human thought. - Use classical logic to historical and contemporary issues of human behavior, society, and civilization. Advanced Knowledge of the Great Works - Analyze the human experience from multidimensional viewpoints from antiquity to present times through study of the leading authors and works of each age. - Examine the origins and implications of the concept of individualism as it applies in concepts of tradition, power, society, and culture. - Apply advanced science and social science knowledge, methods, and logic to convey to and influence scientific and/or social procedures and structures. Admission Requirements: Students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 550 with TWE of 4.5 (paper-based test); 213 (computer-based test) and Reading - 24, Writing - 27, Speaking - 14, Listening - 14 (internet-based test). In addition to this a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is also required. |
