Liberty University's Master of Arts in Marketplace Chaplaincy program prepares servant leaders to be faithful wise, stewards of the Gospel, developing strategies, Christian character traits and very specific ministry skills, relevant for successful ministry in an institutional chaplaincy setting. Students will observe the similarities and differences among the various types of chaplaincies, giving careful attention to ministry in religiously multicultural, pluralistic and multi-staff environments. Students will examine the theological and cultural issues of a formal and informal ministry setting. Some of these settings may include geriatric/eldercare homes, corrections facilities/prisons, emergency response arenas, workplace/industrial settings and hospitals. |

Career Opportunities: The dedicated and professional doctors of Master of Arts in Marketplace Chaplaincy will challenge students intellectually, spiritually, and personally, that will prepare them in being successful in such careers as: - Company Chaplain - Resort Area Chaplain - Non-Profit Organization Chaplain The online MA in Marketplace Chaplaincy from Liberty University is a 36-credit hour program. Tuition is $250 per credit hour, there's a $150 technology fee per semester, a one-time $50 MA Counseling Assessment fee, and a $50 application fee. Admission Requirements: Students must have earned baccalaureate degree or its equivalent (in any field) from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S., Department of Education (e.g., SACS, TRACS, ABHE, etc.) with a minimum GPA of 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale). Students who hold a prior degree from an unaccredited institution may be considered for admission on academic probation. Students admitted on academic probation are required to take and pass GRST 500 introduction to graduate writing their first semester. Students must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 600 paper-based test; 250 computer-based test; 100 internet-based test. |
