Full Sail University's Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing has been designed to keep up with the demands and evolution of the entertainment industry. The ability to both tell a story by making use of words and images and to deliver stories through a range of media formats are now becoming priority qualifications in looking for creative writers in this industry.

The main goal of the program is to teach students how to write appealing, diverse material and to make their creative talents marketable to a wide selection of prospective employers.

In this online creative writing program, storytelling is not just simply taught as it applies to the usual output mediums of print and publishing. The program will examine the art of storytelling and the language of various mediums, like film, television, animation, and gaming. This will equip students with the essential know-hows and skills to pursue and be considered for professional creative writing jobs in the arena of entertainment.

Throughout this program, students will be creating an e-portfolio with a presentation of a finished script, together with the supporting materials that resulted in its creation - this will serve as their thesis project. This scriptwriting project will be in the media genre of the student’s choosing of film, gaming, or animation. At the final month of thei study, students will formulate a plan to market their creative writing masterpiece.
